Founded in 1996, the Nehemiah Foundation Tanzania is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to sustainably improving the living conditions of Tanzanians. As a subsidiary of the German Nehemiah Christian Relief Organization, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, we passionately work across various social sectors to provide a hopeful future for the people of Tanzania.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to empower Tanzanian communities through sustainable development projects that address critical needs such as clean water, education, food security, and orphan care. We believe in creating lasting change by promoting self-reliance and improving the quality of life for the people we serve.

Our Projects:

  1. Orphan Villages:
    • We support orphans and youth by providing safe, loving, and supportive environments in orphan villages. Our Agape Children’s Village ensures that children have access to basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, and education. This nurturing environment allows them to thrive and build a better future.
  2. Water Projects:
    • Access to clean drinking water is a basic human right. Our water projects, including the construction of wells, rainwater harvesting systems, and water treatment plants, aim to provide clean drinking water to more people in Tanzania. Our initiatives in Loltepes, Agape Children’s Village, and Kemondo are critical to improving health and well-being in these communities.
  3. Agribusiness:
    • To enhance food security and income for rural populations, we support agribusiness projects and provide training in modern farming methods. By developing small farms and strengthening local economies, we make communities more self-sufficient. Our agricultural projects in Loltepes, Agape Children’s Village, and Kemondo are vital to these efforts.
  4. Education:
    • Education is a key driver of poverty alleviation and community empowerment. We are committed to building schools, training teachers, and ensuring access to quality education for children and youth. Our Bethania Schools project exemplifies our dedication to educational development and community upliftment.
  5. Promoting Self-Reliance:
    • Empowering local communities to use their skills and talents for sustainable projects is central to our approach. We provide training, resources, and financial support to facilitate this process, particularly in agro-economy initiatives in Loltepes. By fostering self-reliance, we help communities build independent and sustainable futures.
